Just curious what you're getting for your download speed on 4G. I live in the small town of LaGrange, GA (hour south of Atlanta)....but big red was gracious enough to give us LTE. Anyone ran a speed test? And, what area are you in?

I have been getting 16-19 mbps down and 11-19 up. In fact my friends Verizon Nexus pulled 15 mbps down at the same time I was pulling 19 mbps.

Wow! That's gonna be a HUGE jump from the crappy 3G service I've been getting on the "so called" 3G network here & in Columbus, GA @ 0.34Mbps down / 0.07Mbps up! The speed has been like this for weeks now, something is obviously broke...

The interesting thing, however, is that at work in Las Colinas (Irving, TX) about half a mile from a huge Verizon corporate office I am consistently getting 4Mbps down and 0.5Mbps up. I do not think it is VZW but still, you'd think they would make it a priority to have good service near offices that house thousands of people who undoubtedly use VZW..

I was getting 39-42mbps down and 16mpbs up peak in Baltimore. Averages were closer to 20mpbs down 10mbps up though.

I get 18-20 mbs down but only about 1.7 up. But even with slower upload speed, the download speed is 10X my DSL wifi.

You can change the server....go to "tools" then click on "change server".

I've gotten that on my Nexus in the greater Cincinnati area. I was quite amazed to say the least. I regularly pull down around 30 down 10-15 up in the Cincy area.

It's choosing that server because Verizon has assigned you an IP address from a range allocated from their servers there.
