Pending charge on Credit Card

Ordered (2) 32 gig phones on 6-13. Have received no updates (other than the original ship by 7-9). Kept checking my CC account online and it does not show any activity.

So I called my CC company today and yes, there is a pending (and approved) charge from Verizon on 7-5. Seems the pending charge gets the $$ approved, but not sent to Verizon yet.

My CC company will only show the charge online once the money gets sent (or, actually, when Verizon says "we shipped the phones, please release the money.")

So if anyone else is wondering about the charge showing up, maybe a call into the CC company is in order.

Hmmm. I am in a similar but opposite situation. Online banking shows a hold for the funds, but when I called my bank to ensure that it wasn't going to be declined, the agent was unable to see the hold on funds, and said i would have to wait til it goes through. Oh well, maybe because its the weekend.

Ive had a pending charge since 7/5/12

I called verizon yesterday and they said that my phone has already been picked up by FedEx and will deliver Monday 7/9/12.

Finally received an email from verizon with a tracking number but FedEx website isnt updated because its sunday.

Wow. Talk about timing. I JUST received my shipping notification. Maybe 30 min. after I started this thread.

My CapitalOne Card showed "Pending" for about 8 hours starting late last night.
this morning I received a Ship notification from Verizon, So it's probably all good.

What I had before this morning was my order number and a little plus sign that had no tracking number and just said it would ship by 7/09/12.

Now, I have a tracking number but no expected delivery date. It just shows when it was shipped.

I would give verizon a call and see if FedEx has already picked it up, its just waiting for delivery.

Its Sunday. There is no pickup today. VZW is capable of creating FedEx tracking #s

Thats exactly what I have.

I paid on my credit card online as soon as I did the pre-order.. My card has a credit for 245 dollar and change on it.. lol they prob wondering why I would send them all that money with no charge showing
