I was stoked when I jumped at the $50 64gb memory card when it was on sale at BB online. But now that I have the S3, I see that card doesn't register. I have to use my 8gb card that I sed with my og Dinc. Anyone else have this issue?
The ?Memory Card? section states that the device accepts MicroSD or MicroSDHC memory cards with a maximum capacity of 32GB. Some rumors suggested that the Galaxy S3 would support up to 64GB SD card support, so this might be disappointing for some. Some users of the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note have also mentioned that while the maximum for their devices is 32GB, a 64GB memory card works also. I personally cannot guarantee this one way or the other, so for now, the ?official? recommendation is 32GB.
Have you formatted it in the phone? Or it doesn't even recognize it enough to allow you to format it?
Test it on your PC or another phone to rule out a faulty card.
I have the SanDisk 64GB SDXC Class 6 from the best buy deal and it's running fine
found this in an article and have seen it in a few others as well...
I just found page 109 of the user manual specifically states up to 64gb microsd.
In my case I don't think it is the sd card that is the problem, it is the camera app.
Camera app works fine for me on the 64GB card. Maybe try clearing the camera data under Application Manager- All?
I tested it on my sd slot on my computer which is a quad core i7 windows 7 and it didn't recognize it either. It's a class 6
