    Default This phone is huge!

My wife has a Droid Razr that we got for her about 2 months ago. I got my S3 a week ago. We were eating breakfast this morning and she was looking at my phone sitting on the kitchen table. She looked at me and said "I can't believe how big that phone is". I told her to bring her Razr over and I put them side by side by height and by width. For all intents and purposes they're virtually the same size. The lack of a huge bezel makes this phone look much bigger than it is but that's fine with me. It's how it fits in my pocket that's important as far as I'm concerned.

Just wanted to post this because I thought it was an interesting perception conversation about the S3.

My first smartphone was the BB Storm. Then I got the Droid X. As I got bigger and bigger, I thought I'd never want a bigger phone. Now that I have the S3, I think I want something bigger next time. Maybe the Note 2 or something similar.

I said that with my Droid Charge (4.3" screen)...and after using the S3 for a week and picking up the DC, my first thought was "this is too small!"

the razr is 2.71x5.15 (13.96 sq in)
    Gs3 is 2.8x5.4 (15.12 sq in)

Actual footprint increase is about 8.4". However, the screen increase is about 24%. The phone looks bigger because the screen is substantially larger, but the footprint is not much larger than the razr.

I came from the Charge too and was amazed at how slim and light it was compared to my Charge. I love this phone..just love it

I toyed around with the idea of waiting for the VZN Galaxy Note, but while I love the Note, I need a one handed typing phone for my daily driver.

This phone is just a tad too big for my hands but I'm dealing with it because I love having the big screen. How do people deal with the Samsung note?!

Yup. I really have to force myself not to. I'm worried I'll drop it. It is a habit though.

I'm thinking I'll like the size for an in-car device though. I just need a mount.
