gmail calendar not sync from phone to pc
My gmail calendar is acting weird.
If I enter a task on the PC, it automatically syncs to the phone.
If I enter a task on the phone, it syncs with my jorte calendar (on the phone) but will not show up on the PC.
I have sync enabled on the gamil android app. I have pressed the "sync events/tasks" button to force a sync.
On the phones settings---->accounts and sync all my accounts have sync enabled.
data connection is good. yahoo email is syncing with no problems. I can browse web etc so connection is fast and good.
Ideas??? - 07-17-2012, 01:38 PM #2

Re: gmail calendar not sync from phone to pc
Yea, that is done. That would be too easy of a fix. :-)
Thanks for the feedback.
I also made sure that when I create events on the phone it is set for my gmail calendar and not "My calendar." Actually, I have tried both- neither one syncs to my PC gmail calendar.
Anyone else have any ideas? - 07-17-2012, 02:12 PM #4

Re: gmail calendar not sync from phone to pc
This is getting real weird.
Thanks for the suggestions Johnnybee. Not sure how/why, but they did not solve the problem either.
I also have a xoom tablet and the entries made on the phone do not show up there either. So it really looks like the phone is not pushing the content out.
It was working a few days ago.....I can not think of a single app or setting I have changed. - 07-17-2012, 07:04 PM #6

Re: gmail calendar not sync from phone to pc
Problem has gone away- not the "solution" I was looking for. :-)
After trying everything down to deleting and reinstalling gmail account on my phone, entries I entered on the phone would not sync to PC. vice verse worked fine. (Remove Jorte from the equation- gmail calendar on phone would not sync to gmail calendar on PC).
Removed battery. Triple checked every setting I could find. force sync, clear cache, etc etc etc. Nothing worked.
Finally I went and reset every single setting. Turn it off then on. Set it to local calendar, then back to gmail calendar etc. Essentially changed every setting and immediately changed the setting back. Now everything works.
I found several threads in the google forums with people having the same issues. Lots of ideas there that work for some people and not for others. Got to love technology sometimes!
