Re: Insurance?
I have Auto Owners for my home insurance and put mine on a rider for $10 a year with full replacement cost coverage and no deductible. My agent, a longtime friend, assured me that any claims of this type will have no negative effect on my premiums.

Re: Insurance?
if you just want the insurance, it is $5.18 per month from verizon. If you want insurance and extended warranty(tec), then it is $6.99 per month. $99 deductible if you use insurance, but no deductible for extended warranty.
Of course, you have other options like squaretrade, best buy, and what not. - 07-27-2012, 11:39 AM #8

Re: Insurance?
I am kind of upset that you can't remove it online anymore! I always had that option and now it is gone! I can't even remove the insurance on my hubby's iPhone!

Re: Insurance?
Kinda silly to not have insurance for a phone that is at least $249 on contract and $649 off. I have the $7 tec. The way I look at it - thats maybe the cost of a ONE fancy large (whatever they call large over there, I forget) Starbucks coffee per month. Gladly trade that for peace of mind.

It depends on your situation. I have 4 lines now and have had service for over 12 years, and not a single broken phone that would need insurance. So i saved myself over $4,000. That, and I have 5 4g phones now anyway just for me. Of course, everyone's situation is different, if you are accident prone then insurance may be worth it.
