I used Pandora yesterday for about 15 or 20 min. and my battery usage went from 45% to 40%. Screen was off, headphone jack plugged in to connect to external speakers. Connected via 4g (wifi and blue tooth disabled).

5% battery drop that fast seems strange to me. Anyone else have experience with Pandora and battery usage?

takes me about 15 minutes or so to get to work and my phone only drops about 2-3% using Pandora over 4G, even less if i am listening to music on Google play...

That does seem a bit worse than I've seen (which is around 2% under those conditions you listed). Try killing any other processes that might be running in the background and try it again.

Drove from Los Angeles to San Diego. About 3.5 hours and It went from 93 to 80 percent battery life. I had also disabled the automatic screen shut off because I like to skip sometimes.

Streaming audio from any source on this phone just murders the battery for me compared to any other phone iv used

When I first tried it out, it only dropped 5% with an hour of Pandora use on 4G.
