I use Google calendar and events I enter from my desktop is showing up on my phone but when I try to enter events from the calendar app, it does not show up on my phone or desktop Google calendar.

For awhile, I noticed when I add it via "quick add" it will show up & sync but not when I was using "add event" but that seems to be not working now either.

Any help regarding this will be greatly appreciated!

I had the same issue as you.
The stock Samsung calendar is great to use but it defaults to adding new events to 'My calendar'
When you create a new event, at the top, you need to change the calendar from My Calendar to the Google account one
