Re: FINALLY!!
Ooooh for real. I was iffy about buying this phone because of being on ios for so long, but after almost a week of use I am astounded Iphone still even exists after this thing came out. I'm a touring musician so I'm telling and showing everyone.

Re: FINALLY!!
I brought it home and everyone was mesmerized by the screen. I posted a picture to facebook and a friend asked me, "Why did you downgrade?" Ummm....I didn't lol.
I know there's a few threads going around with must-have apps, but if you all have any suggestions, feel free to let me know. I already tried swiftkey and didn't like it at all. Same with gosms and chomp. TIA.

Re: FINALLY!!
Wow can't believe you didn't like swiftkey or Go SMS. These are some if my favorites. Did you try editing some of the themes? I use the light theme in swiftkey as it looks very similar to ios and the iPhone theme in go SMS is almost exactly like ios.
Anyhoo here's a few more
Llama
GOGGLES
Poynt
Aqua mail
Bob clock widget
Fast reboot
Camera 360
ES file explorer
G reader
Nova or Go launcher
Go calendar
minimalistic text
Have fun with it!

Re: FINALLY!!
I may give them both another try. I wasn't crazy about the layout of swiftkey, but I'll give it another chance due to the fact that I was super excited about everything and rushing through stuff.

Re: FINALLY!!
Swype is the best keyboard around. Just go to swype.com and register to download. I cannot use another keyboard after using Swype and I have tried them all!

Re: FINALLY!!
Battery life is always a big topic. Check that link out, but for the most part I believe that when you get a new phone you play with it a lot and you will use battery when the screen is on.
Also batteries do take a bit of time to get settled. Usually after a week or so you will get to a proper flow on battery.
The biggest thing that I find works is turning off the things you don't use. Wifi, data, gps, blue tooth etc. all suck power even when the phone is sleeping. Especially with LTE. The phone will keep looking for signals and if you are in a weak area it will drain faster.
So use the power control settings at the top of your notification pull down and turn off whatever you don't need. I turn everything off when I am not using my browser email etc.
A general goal for most smart phones is to get a full morning until bedtime usage out of it. Charge it when you go to bed then you are ready with a full charge in the morning.
