Bluetooth - not connecting

Hi all,

I updated to the most current version of verizon software for my S3 about a week ago. Since then my Bluetooth devices, my car (Kia Sorento) and a pair of Sony Bluetooth headphones, won't automatically connect. I have to go into to Bluetooth settings and click on the item I want to pair and the item needs to be on. I've tried unpairing the items, but it's still not working. Anyone have any ideas? It's getting to be frustrating. Everything worked fine until the last update.

I hate to suggest a factory reset, but sometimes that's the simplest way to solve these confounding issues.

Unfortunately I can't suggest a different method since I don't have the update (phone is rooted) and I haven't bothered using one of the bluetooth headsets that are laying around (with my previous phones they've always proved more trouble than they're worth, so I just quit fiddling with them).
