Re: phone shut down
The battery door is simply removed by inserting your fingernail under the small lip on the top portion of the battery door, located on the back of the phone. You may also want to try booting into recovery - press Volume Up + Home + Power. If you can get into recovery simply Restart the Device and you should be golden. But if you're having this much trouble removing the battery the latter might be a little over your head.

DISCLAIMER: You might want to try this first, charge the phone. LOL! - 11-10-2012, 09:50 AM

Re: phone shut down
come on dude, if im having that much trouble removing the back you say im pretty stupid. the back had never been opened and i didnt know which end to pry. it still was a to get off and acted like i was destroying it. your comments had no relevancy here. don't comment here unless you can be helpful and nice. as an aside, the battery pull did fix it
