Rooting
So I'm curious as to what rooting is and the benefits of it? Also does it make your warranty null and void?

Re: Rooting
Rooting is one of the first steps in customizing your device. First thing rooting will do is allow you to get rid of the unwanted carrier bloat. And yes rooting does void your warranty. It also allows you to flash your device with custom ROMS that will make your device perform much better, give you better battery life, etc.
