    Default New to android again

    Hey all

Just got my GS3 yesterday after about 2 years away from Android. Feels good!

Now this thread isn't just a "Yay welcome me to the family!" type thread, I'd also like to know of any must have apps and tips since the last android phone i used was a Nexus One.
Not rooted yet, but planning on it!

    Welcome back!

I'm curious of what you're impressions are of the newer android versions versus what you had 2 years ago.

Here are a few of my favorite apps:

    Display Brightness:
Adjustable screen brightness bar that's accessible from almost any screen and within just about every app. Touch the bar to adjust your brightness. App also lets you resize the bar, change it's color/shape, and position it where ever you want.

    Printer Share:
Lets you print from your phone to any network printer via Google Cloud Printing

A cool social networking navigation app. Let's you mark road hazards, cops, and other things and see warnings from others. Input can be made by voice as well as touch.

    Screen Filter:
I find the 1% brightness on GS3 to be too bright for night time. I use this widget to dim the screen futher.

    Thanks a lot!

As for Android - it's come a huge way since I used it last. Definitely the OS I was looking for when I started using it

    Welcome back!

    I suggest:
    Wuala or Dropbox
ES File Explorer (works great for rooted devices)
    Opera Mini

If you go AOSP, check this Gapps package out, as it has cool inverted apps and some of the extras I mention:
    JusTunBean Inverted Gapps
If you are inclined to spend a lot of money and want a pretty trophy with which to pass the next few years of your life that talks to you in a condescending voice, can't navigate to save its life, expects full control over all you do, demands $13 for a $3 purchase, allegedly has a single recessed button, needs an expensive computer and a credit card to do anything, hates your music and has purses designed just for it...

Get married to someone you hate... or get an iPhone.

Just for fun, or if you watch the night sky, Google sky map is really cool.
    Get it at Google Play.

Never had an iphone, and don't want one. Tapatalk on Samsung GS3.
