I dont know what their problem is but other places are having sales. BB has it for $149. Amazon has it for $124 but you have to wait 1-2 weeks for shipment. Which I just can't wait that long.

That's for 32GB version -- If you switch to 16GB version it's still $199...same price it's always been. As others mentioned, Best Buy and Amazon have had it for a bit cheaper for quite a while now...

Odd that they would raise their prices because Radio Shack, Sams Club, Costco have it on sale periodically and even the online ATT store will have it on a one day sale at times.

They didn't raise the price, it's just no longer on sale. Subsidized retail has always been $199/16gb $249/32gb.

Verizon doesn't give a rats arse who you buy the phone from. They still get a cut of the sale and all of the contract, which is the real money. The devices are a rounding error in Verizon's revenue.

I just canceled my order from Amazon tonight because the back order...they sent me an email saying five to six weeks...( after initially saying 1-2 ). So then tonight at 5 I went on newegg.com, got it for 149.00 . It said ships in 3-5 days....got an email 10 min later saying it had shipped and will be here monday. ( free nxt day shipping from MD. to Calif.) Sure enough I went on Fed ex tracking and it had already left the facility...I freaking love Newegg
