    Default music player doesn't 'see' new mp3 file

    i downloaded an mp3 and copied it to my sd card but neither googles 'play music' or 'music player' sees the song. i have it saved with the rest of my music files. i can browse thru the 'my files' file manager, find it and if i press it, it'll start to play thru the music player but i can't get it to play any other way. running stock JB so not custom stuff.

    any ideas how i can get the music player to see it so i can add it to my playlists?

    Update, cleared data on the music player and it now sees the file.
