Gallery question

I'm on Verizon running the latest update pushed today. I have a question about the Gallery app. In the Albums view, pressing the menu key shows one of the commands as "Hidden items". Selecting this command displays a message stating "No hidden items".

My question is, how do you go about hiding items using the stock app? I'm aware that Quickpic does this. I'm just trying to figure out how this command in the stock gallery works.

i dont have that option on mine. wonder if you select the file/folder and check the menu if hide is present. would seem thats the way it would work.
