Cannot access SGS3 via LAN

I'm trying to set up my home LAN so that I can transfer my phone pics & media files to my home pc and tablet via wi-fi. I've worked with ES File Explorer and File Manager HD but I cannot see my wireless devices with either program - only my hardwired devices. I know they're connected as I can see them via my Netgear Genie App but the file transfer feature of this app is only useful for individual files as there's no bulk file handling. What am I missing?

Try launching es file explorer then see if you can see it on your computer or vise versa.
