I have sent J-lo an email asking if Verizon is getting it but haven't received a reply. It wasn't in Spanish, maybe that's why. What are the chances it will still be a reality?

Chances are none to great I'd say.

In all seriousness though..at this point the rumored Butterfly 2/DNA 2 seems more likely the further we move away from the date the HTC one was announced.
