I'm waiting on the vigor too. HTC makes better quality handsets than Samsung(personal opinion). Don't get me wrong Sammy has some sweet androids but I just like the look and feel of HTC better. Also with Ice Cream Sandwich being a hybrid mesh of flavors, I am not sure about how the apps will work resolution wise as well functionality. So, that's a bigger reason for me to to stick to what I know for the time being. That said leaks or not I'm soooooo siked for the Vigor so hurry the up Big Red!;)

Was interested in the Vigor...until I saw ICS. It fixes all my gripes about Android, and comes packaged in some really nice hardware. As much as I like Sense and HTC, the GNex is what I'm looking for in a phone. (and the RAZR is a close second)

it looks like a glorified incredible 2 or sensation. I personally am liking the design of the Razr or Nexus more

When it comes to smartphones it really is all about personal taste. One of the main reasons I'm not getting the phones you named is because I hate their look. I mean I'm sure they are good phones in their own rite but MAN. The Razr is just way to boxy for me and the Nexus is just..... well it's hard to put into words but the best I can think of at the moment is it looks sterile. I mean it looks like it wants to be edgy but not too edgy, classy but not too classy, modest but not too modest. It just looks sort of nothing specialish. That's just my opinion and you know what they say about those..lol.

well of course with anything style and looks and opinions play a huge part. I just feel like this device looks like everything else they have come out with. It's like the I phone why in the world would anyone want the same thing over and over and over again. I respect that everyone has there opinions and feelings of what they like but until I see all 3 phones in hand then I can finally get rid of my I phone

And yet the iphone 4S sold out all it's pre-orders...lol. I mean I agree with some of what you said but it just seems like sometimes logic has nothing to do with things. I have never seen disappoint in apple fanboys more than I did with the 4S release. I mean look wise it's literally the same exact phone and it still is on it's way to being the best selling iphone ever...sigh.

I think part of the buying experience with the I phone was people who had a 3gs and were waiting for there upgrades to come. And then blackberry crashed in good timing with the 4s arriving. To me. I was disappointed. I waited for a bigger screen. New software, etc etc. But there upgrades to there iOS are still only catching up to android. Thats coming from someone who has a macbook, 27in mac, i pad, i pod, i phone lol. And now I'm turning the cheek and looking for the next best thing and I phone to me is not it.

Yeah right now it looks like android has taken over the majority of the market and if it hasn't it's poised to do so. If ICS can help them solve the fragmentation problem for android it will really go a long way towards showing just how big of a market share we are talking about as well as attracting more new people to the OS.

If rumors that it's a lte /cdma/gsm world phone are correct, then interest will go through the roof when it's announced.

The FCC filing for the Moto Droid RAZR shows it is a world phone too. Those two (Vigor and RAZR) have my full attention at this point.

No SD card on the Galaxy Nexus is a huge deal-breaker for me. I'm not a fan of uploading/downloading video and audio via cloud services on a tiered/capped data plan when I could just store it on an SD card. Plus, I don't like the idea of filling up my phone and having no way to move stuff to SD. Google dropped the ball with that "no SD" thing, and SD card support can't be added via software update when there is no slot in the hardware.

I have a tough choice on my hands. Nexus, RAZR, or this. They are all enticing phones, but I really like the nexus or the rezound(vigor).

Razr comes with a 16GB SD Card pre installed.

You are right though, every phone has one burning drawback. From what I see, the Vigors drawback is its bulky design. The Razr and Nexus are very svelte.

I'll be upgrading from VZW Pre Plus (going to miss webOS!) to the Vigor, and I'm loving the red detailing (matches my hockey team's colors woohoo)! I was considering the Nexus with ICS straight away, but I've been waiting for so dang long, I don't mind waiting for the ICS upgrade for a few months since I still like the Vigor's specs. Unless there's some glaring reason I'm not privy to due to my ignorance, having never had anything other than a palm smartphone.

What I don't get is why Moto bothered with the Razr when its specs are so similar to the Bionic. I would probably go with the Vigor because of Sense. Although the Razr is sexy.

As to rebooting without a battery pull, sure you can use buttons. When it has buttons! Realize that these phones will have no buttons, other than power and volume. So there's no keyboard or hardware buttons for a reset. Perhaps the power button will suffice.

RAZR has a 16-GB preinstalled SD card. Only the Galaxy Nexus has the balls (stupidity?) to have no SD card and force you to stream data on a tiered/capped data plan. LOL.
