I experienced this exact same issue a few hours ago.I am having some data drop issues too. I have noticed it is when the phone has found a wifi connection though. But I find it VERY annoying that when I am doing something it all of sudden stops and wants you to use wifi!
Hello, new too Android myself and just picked up the Rezound yesterday. I am having an issue within the mail app. I set up two accounts, one is an exchange server and the other is a gmail account. For some reason, the gmail account won't update easily. The gmail specific app does, but not within the mail app (where I want it). All accounts are set to push, I tripple checked. Any ideas?
I personally just turned off wifi. Does that work for you? Even with wifi off for me it still drops. I find it only drops when the signal is weak to begin with, like if I'm inside a building.
Change the encryption method on the router. If that doesn't work, change the channel on the router. If that doesn't work lower the max connect speed on the router (i.e. some go up to 154 or so -- change it to 54).Anyone else having this problem? I can't connect to Wifi networks unless they are not password protected. If there is no security/password I can connect just fine. I know the passwords are correct and I have tried it with other phones and equipment. Turning the wifi security off allows me to connect just fine. any ideas guys?
Great phone for about 12 hours, then started having problems with the screen, the screen froze and tripled up and then turned into purple and pink lines throughout the screen, its been happening more and more. Also have been having problems with the reception, goes from 4G to 3G to 1X then at times nothing at all. Before all these problems i was actually thinking of keeping it, but now, waiting for the Galaxy Nexus to come out and sprinting to the nearest store.

The WiFi thing is very annoying but its actually a feature you can turn off under the WiFi settings... Uncheck the box labeled: notify me- when launching apps, notify me when WiFi is available...
