JuSt ordered the Rezound, but then started reading up on the Galaxy Nexus.

How do these two really compared? Much difference between the two?

the comparisons are out there, it comes down to personal preference. I paid $50 for my Rezound, and honestly, I'd be hard pressed to say that i'd pay 6x as much for the gn. pound for pound though, that'd be a much tougher comparison. if you like thin phones or must have ics now, then go for the gn. if you need a micro sd slot, go for the rezound.

screen depends gn has 4.65" super amoled, rezound has 4.3" super lcd. but, the gn has buttons on screen, so that takes away from part of the screen on some screens.

and of course rezound comes with $100 iBeats.

I am new to Android and have had my Rezound for two weeks. I feel this is an outstanding phone. It seems to handle everything I throw at it. The camera is one of the best, if not the best I have had on a smartphone.

I personally like the thickness of this phone. Reading the specs of each phone, I foun the Rezoundto be a better option for me and when ICS comes out, I will be all set.

Rezound has a better screen, it's stunning. Nexus has pentile so will never be as clean looking.

Rezound has a removable sd card and you can put a 64gb in if you want.

Nexus will come with ics and without sense. Rezound is supposed to get ics early next year and will most likely get root so you can modify the ui as you wish.

I was looking at both and I'm loving the Rezound.

You can get the Rezound now, no telling when you will be able to get the GN. But I;m still waiting for the GN.

As one of the early posters said the comparisons are out there and they very from poster to poster. Most, if not all, love the screen on the Rezound over the screens available. Some have complained about the minor lag sometimes experienced in opening the app drawer, and screen changes, but personally as long as there's no lag on line or while streaming I could care less about a few millisecond lag in the drawer. As for the GN the things it lacks, and its manufacturer, granted that's a personal thing, are the deal breakers for me. No SD, lower rez cameras front and back, lower specs all around, and monstrous size push it out of contention, IMO.

Guess initially the slightly larger screen on the GN was of interest, but it is not much different.

Also, once you get use to HTC Sense, sure hard to go elsewhere LOL

Here's my take on it, as someone who has been researching both phones for well over a month now.

Screen: PenTile vs. LCD, and it probably boils down to personal preference. I think most owners of the Rezound favor their display, while most people waiting on the Nexus say that display looks better. Only way to decide is to see for yourself. With the buttons on the screen, the Nexus and Rezound have pretty much the same size screen. The Nexus can only claim the 4.65" when streaming video.

OS: Vanilla 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) vs. Sense 3.5 (Gingerbread), and it is another personal choice. People who have been using Android since the beginning are raving about the changes in ICS, but newer users (or non-power users) seem quite content with the HTC Sense overlay on Gingerbread. Again, the key is playing with both and seeing what you like. As someone who has never owned an Android device, I can see the benefits in both. I like a clean OS (Nexus) as it will not lag the phone's hardware as bad as a "bloated" Sense-skinned OS (Rezound) will. That said, both phones have powerful processors, and I'm reading that lag on the Rezound is minimal (probably unnoticeable to an Android noob like myself).

Hardware: OMAP processor vs. Qualcomm processor. From what I've read, the Qualcomm processor is "the worst dual-core processor" available. Take that for what it's worth, but I'm not sold on there being a "bad" dual-core processor. I compare this to the Intel vs. Athlon debate. I believe Intel to be the better chip, but I run Athlon for its cheap power and the fact that I am not a power user, and I've had great results. While the OMAP processor in the Nexus is not top-of-the-line, it is reported that ICS has been optimized to run on this hardware. So, even though the Rezound will get ICS in a future update, it probably won't run as smoothly as the Nexus does today.

Other:
Too many variables here. Removable SD card is kind of a big deal to me, so points for Rezound. Updates coming straight from Google (promptly) is points for Nexus. I'm too new to Android, so rooting and ROM'ing is out for me right now, so I don't really care that the Nexus will have the stronger development community support (push for me).

Anyway, long winded post, but hopefully it helps. If you do a web search for "HTC Rezound Reviews," most reviewers are already comparing the phone to the Nexus. The only reason I'm still waiting on the Nexus is because I can't find a deal on the Rezound. Had I jumped when the Black Friday deals were going, I'd have a Rezound today. Discount on the Rezound makes this a very easy decision for me.

... and monstrous size push it out of contention, IMO.

Just to lay out the facts on this the GN is 5.33 x 2.67 x .37, the Rezound is 5.08 x 2.58 x .54. Making the GN .25" taller and .09" wider than the Rezound. And of course thinner. Volume wise it is smaller than the Rezound.

As long as the device isn't more than an inch thick, the thickness is a non-issue. I, and others, actually found the razr to be too thin.
The length (long side) is more important to me as it affects pocketability. None of these big slab phones don't work well in my pockets. I actually got a holster,,, my wife made fun of me.... So retro, like 1998...

I was going to get a Nexus but ended up with a Rezound, very nice phone but Sense 3.5 is horrible, it slows down a very fast phone. I cant wait to root and custom rom because Sense is just horrid.

I was considering the gn, but I would have to pay 6x as much, I would probably keep the rezound considering I paid 1/6th the price of the gn to get it. Unless I have some major problems, i will keep the rezound, can't justify paying $250 more for the gn.

For the second time how are people getting this phone for $50?

There was a Black Friday deal at Costco online. Good thing is that we have 90 days for return or exchange...I plan on keeping mine but you never know.

Wish I could have gotten in on the $50 deal. I had to pay the regular price but at least they took back my crappy Bionic on the 89th day. Now I am just going to keep checking the price weekly and if it drops I am getting a price adjustment.

I considered the GN but both Samsung phones I had in the past sucked so they lost me as a customer.

Finally someone else besides me who will avoid Samsung phones like the plague! I have had 3 of them and I swore I would never buy another one. They have great specs but the execution leaves alot to be desired.
