Just got my new Rezound today and wondering whats the easiest way to move everything over to the new Rezound? All my contacts are already in Google so just doing a sync should take care of those. As for programs, such as I want to keep the existing version of Google Voice I have, is it best to use something like ASTRO to back them up and install then on the Rezound?

There is no easy answer here. If you want to keep the same version of the app....You could probably pull the app from /data/app if you know how. Problem is getting them back there on the Rezound side. My suggestion would be to hang the notion of keep a version of something(unless you have the APK) and just use titanium to backup all of your app data. Then restore it on the Rezound side.

Personally I find that starting from scratch again works best. Keeps you out of ruts and stops you from bringing over software you don't use.

Only a couple of things such as Google Voice which I have the APK. How does Titantium compare with ASTRO? As for app data, what all would that consist of besides ringtones, music, etc?

You're going to need to root the phone to use Titanium. As far as I know the method to root the Rezound is only a temporary root.

to bad that wasn't on the .10 promo :)

agreed, I would have nabbed it for $.10! there is the 30 day trial though, as far as I know it's full featured, might work for this one off. I think it's only 2.99 now though which is down from the 4.99 it normally is.. tempting..

question for anyone who may know for sure about this.. do HTC phones running sense not back up your apps, and settings to the Google servers? (settings>privacy>Backup my data/Automatic restore). I know my Incredible does but I'm rooted running OMGB (Vanilla Gingerbread) and when I tried OMX (ICS ROM) last weekend or do a factory reset all my apps reinstall automatically and settings like wallpapers and wifi all come back. I've read that some manufacturers turn this off in their UIs.. guess HTC is one of em.

Correct, but I prefer an older version, prior to them going to the widget.

I'm not sure what exact version you are talking about, but for the longest time I preferred an older version before they messed up the contact picture loading delay (and still haven't fixed it).
