changing notifications type

I tried searching for this answer & didn't find anything that gave me the answer I was looking for.

I am trying to figure out how to change my notifications to something other than the ones that come.with the phone. I had the DInc before this & I was able to change my sms notifications to any mp3 file. But I can't figure out how to do that on my Rezound. I was able to change my ringtone to custom but not the notifications, it only shows the ones that came with the phone not the ones on my sd card. I tried copy the files into the same notification folder but it seams to be write protected.

Am I missing something?

On my Dinc, I used an app called "Rings Extended" that would allow you to access other sound folders when setting ringtones. You install it and it just shows up when you go to set a notification. Try that.

I tried the "rings extended" & it doesn't seam to work on the Rezound.

Edit:
I figured this out. There is a folder on my sd card that had the Facebook notification in it & I was able to.copy the notifications that I wanted to use.into that folder & was able to select them.
