Signal/Switching problems?

So my wife and I got our Rezounds this week. I haven't had MUCH of an issue, though sometimes I look and I'm at 1x while in Normal mode to save on battery, and sometimes I have no data connection at all. Not a big deal, yet, but you know.

On my wife's phone though she is having issues getting 4G while in high performance mode. Even switching from High to Normal, then back again leaves it at either 1x or 3g. My phone however goes from 3G to 4G when I switch from Normal to High. Even restarting the phone doesn't help.

Sooo.. any suggestions? Should I take it by Verizon and see what's up?

Verizon has had some network problems as late, so it might not be a problem with you phones but a Verizon network problem.

I'm also experiencing difficulty hanging on to 3G/CDMA on my stock Rezound in New Orleans. Much of the time I drop down to 1X or no data whatsoever. 4G, though, is pretty much rock solid. I'm hoping this is simply more network hiccups. I guess time will tell...

Just started facing the same issue. 3g is fine, strong in fact, but can't hold onto LTE for more than a minute or two. This is new as of yesterday. I've had the phone a few weeks and 4g has been perfectly fine until now. Hoping it's verizon but there aren't any reports of outages in the past 24hrs so starting to get concerned... :-\

I recommend being patient. I read an article about a week ago where a high level Verizon executive was asked about the recent problems with LTE. He was apologetic for the problems that people were experiencng with LTE, but he pointed out that being on the cutting edge of technology and building a new nationwide network is a challenging task. They are learning, and confronting problems as they arise, but the implementation of any new technology includes some growing pains. He says their goal is to have 4G as reliable as 3G in the very near future.

(I did try turning hers off and on again, but it was still refusing to go into 4g, though today it's been in 4g most of the time I believe.)

On mine though, I'm having an issue now like this:

I used my phone in Best Buy to scan a UPC, put the phone back in my pocket. Ten minutes later I take it out, wake it up, and I have no data connectivity at all. Stare at it for a few minutes and 1x pops up. 2-3 minutes later I get 3g. Note: I've kept my phone on Normal rather than high performance for the past 3-4 days.

Really, this not having data access for a few minutes when I press power and unlock it is annoying as hell. That's really my only complaint. Hell, I've been on the same charge for 1 day and about 10 hours and I'm only now at 3 bars of battery life left. Used it pretty much as I would any other day... so yeah. The data thing is just pissing me off, cause when I pull out my phone it's normally to look something up and I'd like to do it when I have the need, not five minutes later.

Disable sleep mode, enable mobile data always on, if you are in a lte area, use the lte onoff app to force it to lte only with voice. If you go to a 3G area, use the same app to switch to cdma auto prl. I find these settings work best.

My Rezound started with the data connection issue last night. I had 4G then no connection (X over the bars). My roommates, who have 3G smartphones, both had great 3G signal. I restarted my phone, nothing. I pulled the battery, nothing. I didn't get any data connection for close to an hour  I'm hoping the Rezound does not go the way of my Bionic with poor data connection. Makes me miss the days of just solid 3G data :'(

Did you try to pull out the sim for 5 minutes? You can also force it into 3G, sometimes 4GLTE smartphones have trouble switching from 3G to 4GLTE and vice versa.

What you guys at talking about is what I posted yesterday. I am glad to see I am not going crazy. I am subscribing to this thread hoping someone figures it out.

I was having data issues over the past two days, but earlier today I pulled my battery and SIM for a bit, then re-installed. Since then I've had flawless 3G, won't be in a 4G area until I get home tonight but I'll check in then.

I've had a couple times when I've had no data connection or only 3G when I knew I could have 4G. My usual fix is to put it in and out of Airplane Mode. I think there was a time or two I needed to reboot, but I've never had to pull the SIM card.
