It is. Just don't sign into your account and order it online. They usually price match in stores.

One thing I've noticed is that the speaker is louder due to the hollow cavity of the case, before it was muflfed by it's back side especially when placed on a flat surface .

Overall for 32 buck's out the door it's a good deal, better than 1800 or 1900 mah deals. It's a steal at this price with a whopping 2750 mah of juice.
I'm with you on this one. My stock battery gets me good battery life but having the extra juice never hurts. The extended battery doesn't add much more bulk and actually feels a little better in my hand. I still need to get a case for the extended battery.

It seems to be differ depending on location. I just called a Verizon Wireless store here in town at around 3:45 central time (Pflugerville, TX) and the sales associate told me that the Extended Battery was 59.99 but that there was a promotion going on where you get half off. I asked him how long the promo was going on, and he said that it's pretty much indefinite (or until they are told to stop the promo, I guess).

I noticed that the Verizon Wireless website doesn't list this promo at all, but I'm not sure if the price changes once you get to checkout or anything.

I have a cousin who has worked with AT&T, Verizon, and (currently) Sprint. She would tell me about these promos all the time. You'd be suprised at the deals you can actually get in-store. Give your local retailers a call!!

When I was on the website last week, the standard battery was listed as $40, but in my "shopping cart" is showed $20.

I bought a used Rezound + Extended Battery on Ebay a few weeks back. It came with the extended battery back as well as the original battery and back. Been using the extended battery only since I've had the phone. Out of curiosity, i opened the back to see if I had a 3.7 or 3.8 V battery. After careful examination, I realized this is actually the extended battery for the HTC Thunderbolt. It had the same capacity as the Rezound extended battery and fits just fine. Plus, it is cheaper than the Rezound Extended Battery on the Verizon website. The only problem is if you buy the Thunderbolt extended battery you'll also need to get a new back since the back for the thunderbolt extended battery won't fit the Rezound.

Just thought I would mention this in case anyone already has the extended back but only needs the extended battery.

Also goes to show that you take a gamble whenever you buy phones on Ebay.
