So my girlfriend set her pattern lock the other day and then changed her mind about using it. She unchecked the "use visible pattern" box but it's still there. She and I have both looked everywhere and can't seem to figure out what the problem is. She has a stock Rezound with the most recent OTA update. Any ideas?

Your saying that deselecting the pattern lock and selecting to disable any lock option. Pattern lock still remains active?
That's exactly what's happening. The pattern lock will not disable.
I take it this occurred on a stock Rezound, correct? Not sure you will find many options to remedy that particular glitch. Can't find any reports, even hit xda-devs but found nada. If a battery and sim card pull, failed. Clearing credentials and clear data from manage apps. might work.Although, a factory reset is likely the only surefire recourse, right now. Really hope someone proves me wrong, though.
So if I am reading your posts correctly, unchecking "Use Visible Pattern" only keeps the pattern you are tracing hidden unless you enter it incorrectly. It keeps other people from figuring out your pattern by the lines on the screen.
If you want to disable the pattern lock completely (or change it to something else), you have to select "Change Screen Lock", enter your lock pattern, then select "None".

Hope this works.
Thing is, he did just that but the pattern lock will not disengage.
So I took the battery out and left it out all night while we slept. Magically the problem has gone away. Thanks for helping me get all squared away. I'm not sure exactly which part helped lol maybe it was the collaboration of them all
