Questions on microSD cards...
First, how big of a microSD card can the Rezound handle?
Second, where's the best place to get the best card? - 03-24-2012, 09:28 PM #2
Certainly 32g. There are some reports of users getting 64g cards to work over on xda, but I haven't followed them closely.
As to where, keep your eyes posted for bargains. Earlier this week there was a special sale over at Amazon for a Class 4 32g card for around $25. And last week there was a similar sale over on Newegg. com.

I'm pretty sure that I read somewhere that the max capacity for the rezound is 32. In terms of the best place to buy one I don't know. Maybe look at Amazon

Although some user are able to get their Rezound to accept a 64 GB micro SD card, the phone officially supports cards only up to 32 GB... Don't quote me on this but I think the 64 GB cards lose some of their speed if they are used on the Rezound.
From my own personal experience I would recommend a class 4 speed rating as the bare minimum. I have a 32gb class 4 card in my Rezound, but wish I would have spent just a few more bucks for the class 6 or 10. It takes a while to load music and movies files on a class 4.. And, if you want to record movies from your Rezound to your sd card, you really need a class 6 or better since these are in high definition.

Re: Questions on microSD cards...
If you are just storing music and not running apps off the sd card and don't plan to transfer files often, then a class 4 would be fine. but if you do something that may require more speed, then go with a class 10. I've seen class 10 32gb micro sdhc go for under $30

Re: Questions on microSD cards...
Music and movies....mainly movies. I can't believe how the price of the 32gb cards has come down! When I first got my Incredible (i did the pre order thing...), I wanted to get a 32gb card but they were around $100 and class 10 was hard to find.
On a side note, I saw a USB reader on Amazon that came with two 32gb cards but was advertised as a 64gb set up. Do you suppose that reader had slots for both cards?

Re: Questions on microSD cards...
Alright so I am having some kind of trouble with my Droid X2 that I think is related to my microSD card. Recently my default "gallery" app and "music" app stopped working. They will work for about 30 minutes after my phone is turned on, but shortly after, they begin to freeze, lock up, and just wont work. It says they fail to work. Then when I went to my "files" app it said something about unable to scan SD card or something like that. I downloaded another app to view my pics and it worked for a while, but it too eventually started failing. Does anyone know what I can do to fix it? Is it just a temporary glitch that will fix itself? Is it a virus that somehow got on there through an app? Does anyone have some advice to fixing it?
Thanks,

Re: Questions on microSD cards...
You know this is the Rezound forum right? Not that it matters because your problem is more than likely the phone. To verify if it's the phone or the card, take the card out and put it in a PC or another phone. Put a new/different card in your DX. Make sure that you have content for the gallery and music app to pickup(the closer to the amount of the original content the better).

Yeah we should get meaner.
I would pull everything off the ad card, stick it back in and reformat it using the phone to do it. Could be something mucked up in the file system. The other test I would do is the on Mr.s suggested. Ft a different card and start fresh. If that one fails, it is the phone.

Re: Questions on microSD cards...
There is a thread in this forum that says that the 64 gb micro sdhc card works with the Resound. I have a class 4 32 gb card in my Resound that I bought a week ago and it works fine. I plan on getting a 64 gb card in the future. I bought my card for $22 on ebay. Amazon also has cards in the same price range.

The SanDisk 64gb micro SDXC class 6 and 32gb class 10 micro SDXC world. I have and use both regularly.
