Saving voice mail password

I have my voicemail password saved as *86,XXXX (I also tried *86,,XXXX)

When I go to the dialer and press and hold 1 it dials ok and the password is entered automatically.

When I press on the voicemail icon it dials but askes me for a password.

Why does it do that?

IDK? Maybe because the dialer isn't open already if you launch from the VM icon? It is kinda odd it doesn't, though.

Just be done with that and download google voice. Very nice app for voicemail and such!

Needs a pound (#) at the end or it does not accept it and will prompt

I was not able to recreate the problem on my Rezound.

I'm using this format:
*86,XXXX

I hope you figure it out.
