Oh ReZound, is there anything you cannot do?
I just found out that you can use the Rezound as a metal detector. I continue to be amazed at this thing.
World Phone
level
metal detector
...and an actual phone
What else is there? It is like a Swiss army knife... - 05-09-2012, 01:30 PM #2

You can also use it to pop popcorn. Instructions:
Play temple run for about an hour
Leave game running
Flip phone over
Place frying pan on back of phone
Place a teaspoon of oil and popping kernels in pan, cover
Remove from heat when popping sound slows
Turn off Temple Run“Around here, however, we don't look backwards for very long.
We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things,
because we're curious...and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”

eBay for about $200 - $250 if you don't want to start a new contract. I picked one up a couple weeks ago for around $200 with a couple little scratches on the screen.
If you are ready to start a new contract, you can pick a brand new one up through VZW or BB for $199, and Amazon has it listed for $99, but I'm not sure of the details of that offer. - 05-09-2012, 03:30 PM #10

glad to see this forum hasn't lost its sense of humor.

Something I recently found out was the Google Talk using the front facing camera. Kinda cool I thought.

How exactly do you use it as metal detector?

Only useful to find things that you already know are metallic. Like the coins you just set on the table.

Re: Oh ReZound, is there anything you cannot do?
Use SmartTools instead of a stand alone metal detector. Or Compass or GPS Status will do the same thing, it just wont say you're detecting metal.
It's more fun than useful. But it can help you determine if something is Stainless Steel (not magnetic) vs a brushed metal if you don't have a magnet with you. A magnet comes in handy for me at work occasionally, and now I can just use my phone! - 05-10-2012, 10:52 AM #21

I'm telling you guys, wait till the update to ICS comes out, this thing will print money, detect and create oil reserves, and obliterate astroids. I heard Jellybean will actually make it travel through time. Unfortunately it'll still be Sense 3.6
