Phone staying awake

For the past few weeks, my phone stays awake pretty much 100% of the time. I don't know anything that I've done that would have caused this. I've tried battery pulls, killing processes, reboots, etc and nothing helps.

Any ideas on fixing this?

Have you checked the settings? Are you stock or running a rom?

No. I'm not going to wipe everything out for 12 or whatever more hours of battery life.

It looks like it might be HtcDm keeping the phone awake, but it restarts if I kill it.

I can't recall changing any settings lately.
Besides, that screen timeout setting has nothing to do with the phone not going to sleep when the screen is off.

Ahh, I always equate my screen being on as 'my phone is awake'... all these years, I've never had anything running amok when my screen is off

How do you know it is awake when the screen is off? This may help my battery drainage.

Under battery usage, does it show "Maps" using any battery?
After running the last ICS update, everytime I reboot my phone, I get the Maps bug. To stop it, you have to open maps and let it find your location via GPS otherwise Maps keeps the phone awake. I hope the OTA will fix this, though a factory wipe probably would as well.

Maybe you have an issue with wakelocks,
Android phones have that feature to enable other apps to control phone's sleeping mode.
if your settings are all fine, then there must be some app holding the wakelock.
You can check for wakelock statistics using this app
