If I buy an htc Rezound from Amazon for $100 activated with Verizon, is it possible to change the carrier to HOT or orange and eliminate Verizon fees? Or will i have to pay the $350 Verizon cancellation fee?

if you bought from Amazon and terminated before 181 days, then you would have to pay the Verizon $350 etf (prorated), and a I believe $250 Amazon etf. if you terminate 181 days or after, then you would just have to pay the Verizon $350(prorated etf). Buying directly from Verizon or some other 3rd party do not have the extra etf, but you would still have to pay the Verizon $350 (prorated) etf.

Honestly, if you are looking for a high end phone at a more reasonable price no contract, then i'd suggest the unlocked pentaband gnex direct from Google for $350.
