Good bye rezound
So after having issues with the rezound switching from wifi to 4g, I called Verizon tech support for assistance. This is the third rezound that I have had and they all have the same issue. When I am leaving a wifi area my phone will not automatically connect to the mobile data. I have to do a restart which is annoying. Anyway to make a long story short, Verizon is sending me a razor Maxx, which they claim has no connection problems. I love my rezound and really do not want to go to the Maxx, but I Los need a phone that will function properly all the time. When rep was going through the choice of phones she could send me she stated it would make no sense sending me a nexus when there are known connection problems with that phone, so the razor is the best one to fix issue. Now I did not ask for a nexus, all I asked for was a phone that worked properly but why are they so fixated on razors?

Re: Good bye rezound
sorry to hear of your issues, though I never had them. I am also sorry to see you off of the ReZound, but we all must do what is best for us.
They are fixated on the Razr line because it sells. That is about the bottom line in all this. Way back when it was a dumb phone is sold like hell, and as a smartphone with ridiculous battery life, it still sells. - 07-22-2012, 06:59 AM

Re: Good bye rezound
Me too. I have used many different phones and I really had no other issues with the Rezound it was by far the best phone that I have had since being moved over to the android platform. I had the iPhone and did not like the limitations on the phone. the droid x was ok, and the incredible 2 was a good phone. I really wanted to stick with htc because I have always loved htc phones going back as far as the htc windows based phones on sprint. I really do not like the way the razr looks because i had the regular razr for less than 24 hours when it came out, then switched to the rezound because the razr was too squared off for me, but I guess I have no choice now, and will just grin and bear it until it is time for an upgrade in March.

I will also tell you something that made me pause.... while they were troubleshooting my phone they had me look at the software version and read the number to them, and they told me that was not the latest software they were showing in system. She had me check software update and nothing happened. She asked me if I was sure I wasn't on xxxxx software (can't remember the numbers although I remember the number 8 )and I said no, then she was like oh your fine lets get you that replacement.

I too got rid of my Rezound just yesterday for the Galaxy S3. Between the horrible battery life and crappy bluetooth cutoff nonsense I had it.

Ha that's interesting. I have had my share of replacement thunderbolts, however I always restored it to the stock software before calling.
My guess is ALL smartphones cost little to nothing to them otherwise she would have told you on the spot about warranty voids, blah blah, other nonsense.4G LTE Thunderbolt - 07-22-2012, 09:10 AM
