I wouldn't ditch the ReZound just yet...CM, Jelly, AOSP coming...

I don't know how familiar you all are with how to develop ROMs and the such, but the reson we do not have Cyanogen, ASOP, AOKP, MIUI and the like is simple.

It is called the RIL--Radio interface layer. It prevents us from doing a ton of "normal" things with our phones....calls, texts, data...if the ROM we are using doesnt have a working RIL. Make sense?

There are a bunch of working 3G Rils out there for us, but we loves our 4G or we wouldnt have gotten this phone right?

Well Chad0989 over on the site that shall be named just posted this:

What you see there is ASOP running WITH a working RIL on 4G. The first of its kind. Now there is still issues (it dropped to 3G and never got back to 4G) but now that he knows it works, it is just a matter of squashing some bugs.

Once he gets the RIL 100% working, we are going to see a ton of new stuff.

Exciting day......

Well I took a stroll to the dark side and notify ed a few things. It looks as though most of the ril has been cracked open and cm, asop, and akop ROMs are starting to leak in.

There are still issues (no camera, no bluetooth) but we are getting very close to having a pure Google build if that is your fancy.

Now we REALLY want the official ICS to come. Why? Because then htc will have between 90-120 days to release the source code for the kernel (I am not sure what the actual number is but I know it isn't more than 120) which will solve or help to solve the issues I mentioned.

That and since jelly bean is not as big a release as gb to ics, we can use that source to get jb sooner..... Like right away. Is it possible we would get it before the official one for the nexus? How funny would that be?

From my XxX rated Rezound
