Just got the 7MB pre-update in central Pennsylvania!

Note, very sluggish at first, sped up after a few minutes... seems to have wiped cache/dalvik, had to relogin to everything and reauthorize some apps.

Got the 7mb prep file earlier this morning and now downloading the ICS update. Taking a while but it's about 60% done. I'm in Seattle.

What is the 7MB update for? I know it says "preparing device for ICS" but does it do anything specific, like enable the global GSM?

BTW, my update started while I was at the gym and was extremely slow over 3g/4g. Just got home and on wireless and it's going much faster.

So, if possible. get to a wireless spot.
