problems after installing ics

OK, i got my update, as many have reported since late morning (thanks skater girl!) only now I dont have a data connection. Suggestions?

Anyone else noticed other issues?

Just got my update, and when I go to my text messages and I tap on a conversation, it says loading and then it just goes back to the list of conversations. I can't get into any conversations.

Did you make sure that mobile data was enabled?

I reset my phone, (reboot, not factory reset) all is well now.

Tried that. Still have the problem. I'm going to try @VZWSupport on twitter. This is frustrating.

Fortunately because of my fiasco last week, I ended up having to do a factory reset, so my phone was pretty clean this morning when the update happened. So glad to hear you are up and running!

P.S. Still in my meeting!

This is probably a really stupid question but I can't figure it out....

Where the hell in the on screen phone icon/button at the bottom of the screen? I just have the App launcher now and can't figure out how to make a call or get to the phone.

I know it's something really simple I'm missing.

Nope. I just have the "All Apps" button at the bottom of my screen. I used have the phone button bottom center. I can't figure out how to make a simple call.

Click on the "All Apps" button and go to the P section ... is your phone there? if it is long press on it and it'll make a link to the home page drag it to your launcher and it's back....

Funny, when my phone is locked, I can drag the phone icon to my slider ring and the phone dialer comes up. But, I don't want to have to go into locked mode everytime I need to make a call.

Just for kicks, here is a screen shot pre ICS.

I'm looking for the phone icon in bottom middle.

How is everyone else making calls? Do you have a phone button? Is the bottom of your homescreen different than mine?

Go to all apps, find phone, and drag it up to the new launcher where you see all apps located. You can put a total of 4 apps in that space. As seen in the picture of my screen I dragged email, phone, messages, and camera into my launcher area. Hope this helps.

Long press on your screen and it will ask if you want to add a widget or app, choose app and it add phone, or mail, or people, etc. It will install the app on your home screen and you can drag and drop the app to your dock.
