Re: How to get ICS if you are stuck
Someone help, please. I have no idea how to get this to work, and the sad thing is that I'm not ed with computers. I'm a freaking developer and dba and I'm ready to just chuck this phone out the window..
I've got the SDK installed, have my phone connected via USB and have it in FASTBOOT USB, and I'm stuck at the "fastboot oem lock" step.
Can someone do screenshots or something to show where the CMD prompt should be at? My SDK is installed at C:/Program Files/Android/Android-Sdk
I see an "Android" batch file in the Tools directory, but all that does is open the SDK UI. I can't find anywhere to run the "fastboot oem lock" command, and dos doesn't like it either. - 08-03-2012, 02:15 PM #29
Re: How to get ICS if you are stuck
do a search for with adb.exe or fastboot.exe on your system most likely it's in your C:/Program Files/Android/Android-Sdk but not always as i moved mine into a android folder on c.
your phone (if i remember right) also needs to be at hboot to lock itPalm Centro, Palm Pre +, HTC Rezound, Samsung Galaxy S4 - 08-03-2012, 02:29 PM #30
Do you still need to do the OEM lock step if the phone is already locked?

Something is wrong then. I get the error that my phone is not connected to the computer when I try to run the ruu.exe that I downloaded, even though my phone IS connected, shows fastboot USB on the phone and the computer makes the ding dong noise when I connect to USB....

Did you wipe? One of the time I flashed that last night I had similar issues.... It just sound like a wipe will cure it. I know it sucks but it is better than the alternative

Re: How to get ICS if you are stuck
I'm currently on 3.14.605.5 710RD which was released in mid may. I had no problems updating then, but when I try to use the file from android police my phone is not reading the file correctly or something. It says about PH98Diag.nbh not found or incorrect. im s-on and locked. no mods except installing the 4.03 leak. Any other way to update besides putting PH98IMG.zip on my root drive and updating?
