Re: Wow. Alot of issues with ICS update
only issue I have is when i get a text it only vibrates!!!! i find myself checking my phone every ten minutes. I've done everything (i think) to try and fix, but a factory reset don't want to do it. other then that phone is smooth. any ideas how to fix text notification?

I thought I would encounter bugs for sure but my phone is running faster and smoother than before by FAR. The screen transitions show a slight fade in and out and the browser is silky smooth. I have encountered a few issues with the chrome browser and SwiftKey 3 and the input of text, but I'm thrilled with the phone exactly as is. I thought gingerbread was enough, but ice cream sandwich on these hot summer days hits the spot.

Just my two cents... Chrome is the issue... Love it.. But it sucks.

Re: Wow. Alot of issues with ICS update
I don't know if there is anything to this but I did a factory reset before the update because my phone was a "mess". My wife on the other hand didn't feel like dealing with the reset. My phone upgraded just fine. Her's was fine for about 24 hours and then got itself stuck in a bootloop. After 45 minutes on the phone with Verizon, they have decided that the phone is bricked and will be sending her a replacement. It's probably completely coincidental, but I will be doing resets before upgrading from now on lol

Re: Wow. Alot of issues with ICS update
I did not do a factory reset and got the update the morning after they started the push. I have not had any issues with ICS. With GB my phone would lock up and reboot itself or I'd have to take out the battery and restart. No such issues (or any other) with ICS yet. However I'm not a heavy user.

Re: Wow. Alot of issues with ICS update
Ok, so here is my question: I upgraded to ICS as we all did. I'm having a few problems with my phone (apps not responding and such). THinking of doing a backup then doing a fact reset then reinstall the apps I need the most (Alot of crap on there I dont need). If I run the fact reset, will it bring me back to GB or ICS?

Re: Wow. Alot of issues with ICS update
best way to go down to GB Or just wipe to ICS?

The problem is when I'm typing in the search bar, if I make a mistake and try to back space, it retypes the last 3 letters of the word over and over and over. I usually close the chrome browser use the stock browser, where there are no issues. I'm not sure what's causing it to fix it. And I'm not attached to the chrome browser so it's no big deal, but it it is the only bug I've encountered.
