Since ICS my phone has been running through the battery, and has been more sluggish in general. Because of this I am planning to do a factory reset. However, being the lazy type and not an IT guy, I want to be sure that I can restore what I need with the shortest downtime and lowest risk.

Are there any easy AND foolproof ways or apps that can help? Will My Backup Pro do the trick? I figure I will move as many apps to the SD, but I need to be sure my SMS and Contacts are saved.

To do a true backup you need to be rooted and use something like Titanium Backup or mybackup pro. Some say that you can use Astro File manager and do backups but i personally have never done this as I use one of the 2 formentioned apps. Moving apps to the SD card most likly won't work as the Rezound uses the file system sd_card being still on the phone while ext_sd is your actual card. I knowe that is kinda confusing there but Jerry Hildebrand explains it so much better then I
