    Default Force GPU Rendering

In ICS there is a setting under "Developer Options" called "Force GPU Rendering". According to the link below this may improve performance at the expense of some possible rendering problems on older apps. I have set it to "on" just now and things seem faster, but that may be illusion. I will post back here if I come across any problems.

Dunno if I ve been imagining things but it seems like every time I had it set to forced on my phone ran way hotter and as a result my battery life seemed to suffer. Kind of ironic because in theory the gpu should pull less power by offloading the cpu..this leads me to believe this option is inefficient and doesn't quite do what it is intended to. It seems to me it forces the gpu to always be on alongside the cpu rather than truly offloading the latter. Also keep in mind that those elements that are HW accelerated in ICS and JB by default will be rendered by the GPU even with the option turned off.
