Google Maps update reboots phone

Go into google maps and sit there for a bit, it will reboot your phone.

It will also reboot when in Navigation....

I just tried to use it and BAM! re-boot...

Guess I will have to un-install the updates and give it a shot...

That is until Google fixes it..

There are a lot of 1-star comments in the Play store. Google will fix soon, I hope. Maps is too important for Android to be ignored by Goog.

My phone also re booted numerous times last night after the update. Hopefully google is all over this like a rib. Lol

Delete cache, data on the app and then it's ok.

It's fine to update, just need to go in and delete the cache and data under setup/apps/maps. Might need to do that on navigation too. Maps works great after that.

Cleared the cache & reinstalled the update on my HTC Rezound - did an address/location search and worked perfectly - went to search a second address - phone rebooted as before - uninstalled update will wait for future update that hopefully fixes this.

Yea, my phone still reboots - just not as quickly as before. Especially bad in Navigation.

This is why I ALWAYS wait to install an app update for a few days while reading the reviews for feedback. Let others do the beta testing!

Mine is crashing too. Tried clearing data, cache, and force closing, but issue still there. I uninstalled updates until a fix is created... Also left a 1 star review since I don't know how else to contact google.

Works fine for me,but I'm still on GB. Yet just another reason for me to stay away from Ice cream sandwich. Still a little ways away yet before ICS is stable IMO.

Well, I was just on maps, lattidute and places. Things were fine for a few minutes. I then went to navigation and as soon as I exited navigation my phone rebooted.

Oh ... and the update knocked out my lattitude share settings. I see my sister is now at an "unknown" location (she must have done the update) and so I texted her to let her know she needed to go back into her app settings.

P.S. After the last reboot I went back to lattidute and while I was typing, bam, reboot!

It must have to do with ICS. Mine is fine I just used it for navigation.

I don't really agree. I think ICS is very stable. I think it is a bug in maps.

The HTC Sensation is crashing like crazy as well and I think that phone still has GB.

Guess I'm just lucky. I did not uninstall anything. Hope you all get it figured out.
