Cracked screen from drop.
First time I have EVER dropped a phone. Have a seidio case on it. And of course it lands perfectly flat on the glass. Still usable. Call asurion, replacement will be here some time tomorrow.
I am really hoping that the replacement will act ok. Have had NO issues with this unit. Just terrified I will get one of those that the radios don't pick up, or goofed up charging port, or any other hundred things that could go wrong.
Crossing fingers..

Re: Cracked screen from drop.
Seidio's cases are actually quite good, I have been using them for my last three personal phones (two Surface models, and one Active series) and have dropped, kicked, fumbled, banged, slammed, and whatever else my phones many times, and they have all survived just fine. With that said, the right fall in just the right place will crack glass with most "bump cases" (that is what I call the thin polycarbonate shell cases).
Still, if you are tough on phones, consider an Otterbox Defender or Trident Kraken AMS series... I (and several of my co-workers) have dropped my work Rezound in an Otterbox Defender from the top of a 12' ladder to a concrete floor more than once, even when the temperature was well below zero and if you take any of them out of the case they still look like brand new phones. They are not cheap, but they are certainly cheaper than an Asurion insurance claim! - 08-21-2012, 05:38 AM

Re: Cracked screen from drop.
So this weekend I left my phone and wallet on my rear tire as I was buckling the kids into their seats. Forgetting it was there, I backed out of the driveway and went on my way. Sure enough, I realized what I did once we got to our destination with that stunned, "Oh-sh*t" feeling. My wife takes the kids inside and I rush back home to find both my wallet and phone laying in the driveway as expected.
The phone? Tire marks covering the entire glass surface.
Damage? NONE!!! No case - only a Zagg Invisible Shield skin... awesome!

Re: Cracked screen from drop.
What the Heck are you doing to drop it so much... I do not have a case on mine and have dropped it twice(on asphalt) and only have a small scratch.
Why stop with just flashing a RUU? Move to the next step and install a Rezound ROM. We have many options with many people to ask for help.
