I bought the charging port for my Rezound from Ebay.
I took my phone apart and have easy access to both side of the charging port, which is on the phone's motherboard. But it doesn't seem to be soldered on. How do I get it off?
Thanks,
Joe

From the pictures, this appears to be an SMT mount (Surface Mount) soldered connection, not the easiest thing to work with, the contacts don't go all the way through the board and are surface soldered to the boards traces. The "jack" itself is probably glued to the board and uses the fingers on the sides to strength when the whole assembly is helping to hold it in place when put together.
Yep, definitely SMT - not IMPOSSIBLE to work on, but also not for the casual techie. If you know someone at Intel, or Micron, or any other chip manufacturer, that would be your best bet. They'll have the correct tools to work on SMT (microscope, regulated soldering equipment, etc).
