Headphone Jack problems

Anyone else ever run in to problems with the headphone jack not working? All of a sudden today, it no longer works.... shows that the headphones are plugged in, but no audio.... And yes, I tried to headphones in another device and they work.... so it has to be the phone jack. I am about to upgrade my phone anyways, but thinking of replacing thru my ins (if it's free) so that I at least have a fully operational device as my back up once I get my new phone.

You tried the whole routine of probing the jack with a damp toothpick, or using compressed air to blow out any possible debris or lint?
