For me, two things.

- Notification bar ghosting when using some 3rd party skins (not present in Froyo)

- Sound volume significantly lower

(I tellya, I'd go back to Froyo in a heartbeat if it were available to a non-root.There's just been NO benefit to Gingerbread for me at all).

I would say that those 3rd party skin is the problem. I had similar issues with some Froyo 2.1 skins.

hannsoft, have you tried doing a factory reset? I did one last weekend because of some general instability with the original GB OTA, and now sounds seem quite a bit louder. Granted, doing a factory reset is kind of a PITA because of all the reconfiguring you have to do to get your phone back to the way you like it, but it really seemed to help, and, as a bonus, my battery life, which I think was already good under GB, now seems even better.

works great for me!

maybe you need a q-tip?

LOL! I wish there were only it!

It's like a fade-in effect on mine. Every text notification starts in with a fade-in. Some tones are so short they never get to full volume. If I get several texts in in short order I do see the volume fix itself after a while, but never consistently as a "first time"

Notification bar ghosting is from the 3rd party skin and not the ota.

Thanks, Al. That's not an entirely bad idea, especially if at least one person (you) saw some benefit. Certainly can't hurt, right? Just need to set aside the time to put everything back together. And as I recall it, Google does automatically re-download and install all apps .... Hmm. I may very well do just that. Thanks - I'll let you know how that goes.

Yep.. but I've been lookin & lookin and can't find nothin to whine about.

Voice mail notification works fine. Battery, when compared to it's original performance, is almost spectacular. All audio aspects and displays are as expected.

I'm pretty happy! :D

Volume is still bad after reset for notifications. Voicemail ain't enter full code from icon just *86 doesn't recognize digits after pause are there unless it is in notification bar. Battery is no better and in some ways worse (could have been network
as it has been e lately).
Volume issue is on 2 bolts

Another I've noticed but don't think I've seen anybody report: Occasionally, when I open the app list and hit the icon for "frequent" (or Favorites) - nothing happens. My list stays as "All apps". This doesn't ALWAYS happen - I can't duplicate at will, and I can't figure out what any two occurrences of it have in common. Often times Sense will crash after I hit that star (with no effect) a number of times.

Come to think of it .. that's another issue, and another I can't duplicate consistently - Sense crashes. I was thinking that they were tied to the use of 3rd party skins, because often times I'll get a Sense crash when being notified that an app update download from the market has ended. But it's usually when I'm using a 3rd party skin, which is about half the time - but it happens other times as well.

Misery loves company, but hopefully we'll both get it solved. Thanks ksb

Can someone help me ... I was half a sleep and fat fingered the update and said "reject" now it just tells me there is no update. I am on the original GB update and would at least like to know when I have voice mail. Other than a phone wipe how do I get it to un "reject" the update?
