Gang -

Twice today, the left side went 'numb' and was able to verify via a drawing app.

A reboot and all is well. That rules out hardware.

Never saw this before happen.

Rooted BAMF 1.11 and 3++ Kernel.

Thanks gang!

The bottom row buttons on my Thunderbolt quit working one afternoon. They are part of the touch screen technically. I shut the phone off, and then started it back up, and it was fine. I just thought it was a software glitch. Then, 2 weeks later, it happened again, but this time the restart didn't fix it. Then it got to where the buttons only worked about 10 minutes per hour. I had to send it in for replacement.

Not trying to rain on your parade, but it still could be hardware.

(running Skyraider Zeus 1.3)

Well, phone started acting all stupid n stuff. The back 'button' would not work at times.

Came very close to tossing it.

Now my question... I have warranty. Do I have to send out or will they exchange it?

Verizon won't trade out in the store any more. They will only overnight you a replacement.
I called their device support, and told them that the touch screen wasn't working all the time. Told them I had rebooted, pulled battery etc, and there was no questions asked.
They overnighted a replacement, I switched over to the new one, and unrooted the old one to return it.

I need to 'factory reset'. Joy... That won't make a flip of difference. But would send me a replacement.

Then, should I 'restore to stock' prior to mailing old back in?

I've done warranty replacements before and they send you a replacement with a return shipping label. You have to send your phone back within a certain period of time, or they'll charge you for the replacement.

Safer to restore to stock before sending back, and wipe data so all your personal information is gone.

When you unroot, you're going to be factory reset anyway, right?

Did a nandroid and full wipe and reinstall of the rom. Same issue... So emailed the gal and told her to get me a new one asap.

Now restoring backup so at least I use as a phone till a new replaced.

Then rooting a new tbolt - oh joy... and of course, locking the bootloader.
