Yes. It's a leaked RUU which will require root and will wipe your phone. Just FYI for those who may not know. I'm waiting for the official OTA. Now that a leak is on the street it shouldn't be much longer.

Anyone else feel really uhhhh I want to use a word besides disappointed but it's hard to find one that gets the same message across in a less "I expect everything" attitude?
It's been what, 5 months since the last official OTA (Dec I think) and this is what they come up with?
I can list a handful of developers all over the net who've worked on this device that have accomplished more in a weeks time than this. It's like they have one guy to support this device and he doesn't have a clue what's happening in the Android world...
I know this is going to come off to some seriously patient people as "don't bite the hand that feeds" but you have to admit, it's been 7 months strong since ICS was released. What were they doing this whole time? The phone (Thunderbolt) was approx 6 months old at the time when ICS was being released. Is a 6 month old phone really not worth being supported? I find that appalling and if I wasn't up for an upgrade right now I'd be outraged. Either way, I won't be buying another HTC device again. Thunderbolt first and last. :-\
I'm not disappointed at all...
These download sites are the SLOWEST sites, ever! Too bad they had to take down the guy running the illegal mirror sites. lol
What type of update message are you seeing?
Not seeing anything here. I tried the check for updates option and get the "No New Software Update Available" message. Also, Verizon's Thunderbolt support page (Software Update: Thunderbolt?by HTC) doesn't have any new info, still says 2.11.605.9 from last December.
Edit: see this at Android Police

I doubt either one of these would fix your occasional loss of Internet while still connected to your WiFi router. But, here are some things to try...That list is interesting to me for two specific items - the IPV6 over eHRPD issue, and the Cisco Any Connect VPN issue.
I doubt either one of these would fix your occasional loss of Internet while still connected to your WiFi router. But, here are some things to try...
Different channel.
Different encryption.
Different protocol (slower).
Different lease length.
There's a few more tweaks that can be made in the phone's and router's settings. That's what I'd try.

For Christmas I got the newest whizbang router from Cisco, the E4200v2. Probably once a day my Wifi connection loses Internet. Dunno why, but it just stops working. I'm connected to the router, but I have no Internet connectivity. I turn Wifi off and back on and I'm all set.
Could my issue be one of those two things? I'm testing right now, pre-update, but going into that "##778#" mode and going back to Rev A, just to see ....
