Default Post here if you have the OTA while running leaked MR2

Any of you running the leaked version? Please say so if you are. I am, and I'm not seeing it.

I've seen people from all over the country installing it without the MR2 update. I just saw a post where a person from Chicago got the update on a MR1 device. At least for now, it may be safe to say that we need to flash our phones with the new firmware manually. I'm in Chicago with the MR2 and I get the "No New Software Available" message.

Ditto here! I downloaded the new MR2 leak but I'm not sure if I want to go that route again.

I am waiting for somebody else to do it first.

Will do. I just hit up on the volume rocker to begin the update itself. I'll update you in a little bit once I set a few things up.

The update that we're downloading now is the official OTA. In other words, we will receive GB over OTA.

The update went in without a hitch. The software version is the same as the OTA. The benefit of doing this now is that you will be able to get the Gingerbread OTA when it's released. Also, all of my Android Market Applications downloaded and restored automatically. My Wi-Fi is still programmed into my device even though I did not set it up again.

    Go for it.

But to clarify....no one who is running the leaked version from a few weeks back is getting the OTA through the Software Update on the phone, correct?

Downloaded the full RUU and updated my phone... Just finished putting my apps back on it and all seems well so far. I like a clean start every few months anyway! Hope it's as stable as the leaked MR2 was...

I did the same but while re-installing apps it has already had one random reboot. Might have to take a look at the Bionic when it comes out.

I also have the leaked mr2 and get no update available but on the plus side I haven't had a reboot since flashing mr2 so I don't really need anything else until gingerbread is released

See of it was being overloaded since it was installing applications.

I dont think a reboot during re-install of a bunch of apps could be classified as random. I'd give it time.

Still no one with the leaked install that got the OTA? Wonder if whatever the system checks never changed with the "new" MR2? Guess I'll be manually installing it tomorrow.

    what's wrong with stock?

Default Re: Post here if you have the OTA while running leaked MR2

If you are running the leaked MR2 then you most likely wont get the new MR2 and even if you did there would be on guarantee it patched all of the files it needs to. You will need to download and install the new MR2 RUU manually. However, from here on out the OTA's should come as expected.
