disable vertical swipe answer call?

does anyone know if it is possible to disable
the vertical swipe to answer a call?

If i disable the pattern lock then i don't have
to vertical swipe,however I want to keep the
pattern lock and remove vertical swipe

If you look into possible Sense 3.0 ROMs, they may have the Circle Lock screen instead of the bar you swipe.

Otherwise there might be other options, but this is not my best area of expertise.
