Looking for a GPS / Trip Planner App
I am looking for an app where I can map out a road trip ahead of time and check to see what road construction I will/may run into. Mapquest provides the route, but not the road construction information. From my little understanding, GPS provides detours for construction, etc. But is that only in real-time or can you check routes and construction ahead of time? Hope this makes sense. Thanks.

Re: Looking for a GPS / Trip Planner App
Of all the map software I have tried , I haven't seen anything that truly helps with road construction. About all you can do is keep an eye on Google maps traffic as you travel, then have your software calculate a route around places that you mark to avoid as you travel.

Thanks. I am planning a trip and am trying to decide which of the two interstates I should take based on construction. I guess I will do it the old fashion way and just check the state dot websites the day before I leave. I was hoping to take advantage of an app to make it alittle easier on me, but oh well.

You can always plan the route on google maps on your pc and shoot the link down to your phone. Works like a charm.

Do a search in the market for AAA. The Automobile club has a TripTik app that might be what your looking for.
