Where is the customizable dock?
I just did the update and it looks like so far so good (I had issues with data connection). I don’t see the customizable dock anywhere nor do I see Google talk. Am I going blind or is this correct. Only thing I can think of is HTC did not allow the dock because they have skins for the phone where Moto does not.

I was really looking forward to the "customizable" dock also. Internet should be a choice! "Personalize" is a waste of dock space!
You don't think they're referring to that cheesy dock in the apps drawer do you? - 09-28-2011, 08:50 AM #4
Re: Where is the customizable dock?

Re: Where is the customizable dock?
The customizable dock is only available when you use a dock with the phone, it is not your main home screen. See attached Pic

Re: Where is the customizable dock?
Sorry to keep mentioning this (but the problem keeps getting mentioned in different places).
There's a free app called "Go Launcher" in the Marketplace. It's like HTC Sense on steroids. Autorotate portrait/landscape home screen, ability to do icon layouts other than 4x4 (5x5? 4x2? Go for it!), and a customizable dock that contains 5 items (and can be slid independently of the home screen, if you like, for up to 3 docks and 15 items - though I find the idea of a sliding dock really confusing).
It also adds the ability to change app icons (even completely custom icons you can download), adds a ton of new downloadable skins (some free, some paid), gobs of new widgets with more available for download, swirly/slidey/swooshy/cube transition effects, and probably a hundred other little enhancements I'm completely forgetting. - 09-28-2011, 04:53 PM #9
But you lose htc widgets.
